Capri Italian Restaurant is located at the new Asiatique Riverfront Night Bazaar.
It is most easily accessible by taking the free boat from Saphan Taksin pier down to Asiatique. Schedule is every 20 minutes. The boat will take you back to Saphan Taksin until around 12 midnight. Of course you can take one of the many taxis available, which leave from street side of the bazaar on Charoenkrung Rd. Capri is one of the first restaurants you will see when getting off the boat and one of the larger ones at Asiatique. It has indoor and outdoor seating.
It has a full Italian menu with a wide variety of Pastas and sauces in addition to a large selection of Appetizers, Pizza, Salads and many western type dishes of meats and fish. Fried squid and onion rings with tantalizing dip was delectable. The Pizza ordered was large, enough for 2 people, and of traditional thickness with plenty of toppings and cooked to perfection. The tomato arabiata sauce on my Penne was rich and thick and a bit spicy. Be sure to inquire about spiciness if this is a problem with you. They have a large full bar serving cocktails, wines and beers, and that also accommodates diners. The wine selection is large and varied. The dessert menu features Italian delicacies as well as gelato. The service is prompt and courteous, and as with Thai custom, many servers will take your order, deliver food and drink, etc .
This restaurant was one of the busiest at the night bazaar and no wonder due to its extensive and varied menu, location and service. However, we only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Prices are reasonable for the menu, but for a location like this they could have overpriced the dishes, but they did not. A 10% service charge is added to the bill, a common practice for a restaurant this size. I highly recommend Capri.
